From the 1st April 2010, Weartech is proud to announce a number of substantial changes to its Welding Division.
“For a number of years we have been looking to extend and improve our range of consumables and equipment to the Hardfacing industry” says Managing Director Simon Wintle.
“In the past we have only had the Stellite® brand which is used primarily for hardfacing at elevated temperatures. We can now offer iron based carbides and stainless steels in electrode and solid and cored wire forms. These products are mainly sourced from Polymet, Kiswel and Oxford Alloys. We also grasped the opportunity to expand our surfacing equipment range by joining forces with Mavrix USA who manufacture a complete range of semi automatic welding equipment for hardfacing and cladding applications foremost in the Steel, Sugar and Crushing industries”
“We needed someone with the knowledge and experience to help promote and market our existing and exciting new products and so it gives me great pleasure to welcome back Steve Maynard to Weartech in the position of Sales Manager. Steve has been involved in the sales of equipment and consumables to the hardfacing and cladding industry for the last almost 10 years and, with his previous experience in the Thermal Spraying field, slots perfectly into the Weartech Team.
